We care for children from 2 years 6 months to 4 years plus. Rising 5s is on Wednesdays and is for children who will be going to school the following September.

Hopton School House offers a welcoming environment for children to participate in an excellent range of activities offered.

Did you know that if you need wrap around care for your child that we can offer seamless care from 07:30 to 18:00?

The varied programme includes arts, sports and recreational activities and we follow the EYFS in all our planning. See the links below for more information on the EYFS.

Planning in the moment is the approach we as a setting use which enables all our children to follow their interests, by having accessible, open-ended resources available that they can manipulate, explore, create, and use their imagination with.
Please see the link for more information on Planning in the Moment.

In addition, there is provision for children who simply wish to relax or play quietly.  We aim to provide a secure, safe and stimulating environment for all children attending the School House, meeting the needs of individual children and promoting their welfare.

The School House has two gardens that provide safe and child friendly play areas so that we can additionally offer outdoor activities. Our landscaped front garden offers children the choice of whether they would like to be inside or out, our newly landscaped bigger rear garden, which is separated a little from our setting, offers a wonderful climbing frame, a pirate ship, a fully enclosed trampoline a sunken sand pit, balancing beams, a seperate enclosed messy play area with two mud kitchens and four painting easels for mark making and explorative play, three large raised beds for planting, growing vegetables, herbs and flowers, outdoor play equipment and a play house to ensure the weather doesn't prevent outdoor play.
